The app and your licence

Livrana helps you write the book of your life: memories on an illustrated path, exportable as PDF books. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app on your devices. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies. The app, its name, its design and its illustrations belong to SIMPLIFIDENET LIMITED; the open-source components and typefaces it includes are governed by their own licences, which you can view in Settings › Terms & privacy › View licenses.

Livrana is not directed at children under 13. If you are a minor, you need your parents' or guardians' permission to make purchases.

Your content is yours

Everything you write, dictate or add (texts, photos, books) is yours, or belongs to whoever holds its rights, and stays on your device. We acquire no rights over your content and cannot access it.

You are responsible for keeping it safe: the app offers encrypted backups and we recommend keeping copies off the phone regularly. Backups are always encrypted with the password you choose; if you forget it and don't have the recovery code, nobody can open them — not even us — and their content cannot be recovered.

What you write and share

Your memories and your books are your own work, and you decide who you share them with. The “Written with Livrana” note in PDFs only indicates the tool used to make them: SIMPLIFIDENET LIMITED does not review their content, has no access to it and does not endorse it.

If you write about other people or add their photos, respect their privacy and their image, and only share what you have the right to share.

When you share a book or a memory, you send it yourself, with the app you choose; whoever receives it can save or forward it, and we cannot withdraw it.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the content you create or for the use made of what you share.

Purchases and prices

Livrana offers a one-time purchase (Livrana Pro) and paid themes, processed by Google Play or the App Store under their terms and refund policies. The free version includes the Meadow theme and one book, even if you delete it later. Livrana Pro includes unlimited books and the themes available when it launched: Mesas, Dunes, Mountain, Coast and Jungle; themes released later may be offered separately. Prices may vary by country and are shown in the store before you pay. Purchases are tied to your Google Play or App Store account and are restored with that same account; they do not transfer between Android and iOS. The right of withdrawal and refunds are governed by the terms of the store you buy from (Google Play or the App Store), which shows them to you before you pay.

Acceptable use

Please do not use the app unlawfully, attempt to decompile it or circumvent its purchase mechanisms, or extract or redistribute its illustrations or other files outside the app. What you create with it, such as your PDF books, is yours to share. None of this limits rights the law grants you.

Warranties and liability

We do our best to make Livrana work well, but we cannot guarantee that it will run without interruptions or errors. We are liable for damage we cause by breaching these terms, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for the loss of content that was not in a backup, for example if you lose your phone or delete the app. This does not exclude our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence. Nothing in this limits the legal guarantee or the other rights the law gives you as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the current version will be published here with its date, and we will mention it in the app's release notes in the store. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. Changes do not affect what you have already bought.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. If you use Livrana as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules and courts of your country of residence.
