In two lines

Livrana keeps your memories only on your device. We run no servers with your data, there are no ads, no tracking, and nobody's information is ever sold.

Controller

SIMPLIFIDENET LIMITED · Companies Registration Office (Ireland), No. 593197 · 71 Lower Baggot Street, Dublin D02 P593, Ireland.

On Google Play, Livrana is published under the developer name DFNT Studio.

Contact: soporte@livrana.app.

What data the app handles, and where it lives

Your memories, photos, books and profile (name and date of birth) are stored only in your device's memory. You choose photos one at a time with the system picker, and the app keeps a copy of each one; it does not use the camera. Livrana receives none of this and cannot see it.

If you delete the app, that data is deleted with it, including the automatic copies it keeps on the phone; that is why the app encourages you to keep copies off the phone.

Anything you save or share outside the app (a PDF, a backup) is not deleted with it; if you send it with another app (email, messaging, your cloud), that app handles it under its own terms.

When an update changes how the data is stored, the app keeps an internal copy of how it was on the phone for 30 days, in case it needs to be recovered; you can delete it sooner in Settings › Backup, and it is deleted if you delete the app, like the rest of your data.

Microphone and dictation

Dictation is recognised on the phone itself, with the device's own speech recognition: your voice does not leave your phone. Livrana does not record or keep your audio; it only receives the recognised text, which stays on your device like any other memory. The first time, the phone may need to download the language data. If it cannot recognise speech on its own, the dictation option does not appear. The system may ask for microphone permission: you can withdraw it at any time in your phone's settings.

Notifications

If you turn on Question of the day, the reminder is scheduled on the phone itself: it does not go through any server. You can turn it off in Settings or withdraw the notification permission in your phone's settings.

Backups

Backups are a single file (.livrana format), always encrypted with a password you choose: the password for your copies or, if you prefer, a different one just for that copy. Without that password nobody can open them, not even us, except with the recovery code, if you created one, which works for copies made with the password for your copies. The key the app uses to make copies without asking for your password again is kept in your own phone's secure storage.

If you turn on automatic copies, the app keeps up to three copies on the phone (the last day's, the week's and the month's), and only on the days you use it. To have them off your phone, you decide where to keep them: sent wherever you like, or in your own cloud (for example your Google Drive or your iCloud). If you keep them in your cloud, the file lives in your account under that provider's terms; Livrana has no access to it.

Livrana does not take part in the system's own cloud backup: on Android it is not uploaded to Google's backup, and on iPhone its data stays out of the iCloud backup. If you move your data directly from one Android phone to another, by cable or Wi-Fi, Livrana can go with it.

Purchases

Purchases (Livrana Pro and Path themes) are processed by Google Play or the App Store, with your store account and under their own privacy and refund policies. Livrana does not receive your payment details: the app only asks the store which purchases you have in order to unlock them. On Android, the Google Play purchase library, which is part of the payment system, may send Google technical data about purchases, under Google's privacy policy.

More: Google privacy and Apple privacy.

No ads, no analytics

The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. No profiles, no cross-app tracking, no cookies.

This website does not use cookies or analytics either. It is served by Cloudflare on our behalf: like any server, Cloudflare receives the IP address of each visitor in order to deliver the pages and protect them, on the basis of our legitimate interest in offering a website that works and is secure. Cloudflare may process this data outside the European Union and participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Children

Livrana is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal data: whatever each person writes stays on their own device.

If you write to us

If you write to us, we process your address and your message only to reply to you, on the basis of our legitimate interest in answering your query, and we keep them for up to six months after it is resolved, unless we need to keep them longer to deal with a claim or meet a legal obligation. Email passes through Cloudflare's email forwarding service, which acts on our behalf, and we receive it in a Gmail mailbox; Google processes it under its own responsibility, according to its privacy policy. Both companies may process it outside the European Union, including in the United States; both participate in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

Because your data lives on your device, you exercise your rights directly in the app, without having to ask us: you view and correct your memories whenever you like, delete them one by one or all at once by deleting the app (what you delete stays in the trash for 30 days, where you can remove it sooner, and remains in any backups you already have until they are renewed or you delete them), and take them with you in a backup or in your PDF books. Your purchase data is held by the store (Google Play or the App Store) and is managed with it, under its policy. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can lodge a complaint with Ireland's Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie) or with the data protection authority in your country.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version here with its date and mention it in the app's release notes in the store.
